How long is a piece of string? It depends how well you already know your niche and audience, and how much effort you want to put in upfront to ensure you write the book your readers want to read. To get solid results, we recommend you spend at least 1-2 hours on each step, but it won’t hurt to spend 5 or even 10 hours on each if you want to be really thorough.
